Highlighting 2025 is an important year for the nation with the beginning of a new era – the era of the nation’s rise, General Secretary Lam said that the top priority for the coming period is to achieve the strategic goals set for 2030, with Vietnam becoming a developing country with modern industry and upper middle income. By 2045, the country aims to be a developed and high-income nation. To achieve these goals, under the Party's leadership, the entire people must unite, make the most of opportunities, overcome challenges, and drive comprehensive and strong national development, he stated.

In this process, the leader underlined the significance of unity in the political system and support from the people, as well as sci-tech development, noting that in December 2024, the Politburo passed Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, considering it a main driver for rapid development of modern production forces, as well as a tool to prevent backwardness and ensure the country develops vigorously in the new era.

He expressed his hope that the contingent of intellectuals and scientists will fulfil their responsibilities and missions in this new revolutionary period, joining hands with the Party, people, and armed forces in successfully achieving the country's strategic goals. He called on intellectuals to support the training, development, and guidance of future generations to help them become a strong driving force in building and protecting the nation and shaping humanity's future.

The Party chief emphasised that the Party, State, and people placed great trust and expectations in the intellectuals and scientists, who are the pioneers and key players in driving innovation and leading the country towards rapid and sustainable development.

He pledged that the Party and State will continue to give the best conditions to them so that they can make more important contributions to to the revolutionary cause./.
