Reference exchange rate remains unchanged at week’s beginning

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,101 VND/USD on October 20, unchanged from the last working day of the previous week.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,356 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,846 VND/USD.

At 8:30, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks showed minor fluctuations.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 26,146 VND/USD and the selling 26,356 VND/USD. Compared with the October 17 session, the USD rate at Vietcombank remained unchanged, while BIDV’s buying rate fell by 9 VND./.
