Reference exchange rate up 20 VND on April 23

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,897 VND/USD on April 23, up 20 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,897 VND/USD on April 23, up 20 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,142 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,652 VND/USD.

At 8:20 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw remarkable increases.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,781 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,141 VND/USD, both up 71 VND from the April 22 morning session.

BIDV also raised both rates by 70 VND, posting the buying rate at 25,770 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,130 VND/USD./.
