The Vietnamese Party, State, and people always remember the invaluable support and assistance provided by the former Soviet Union and Russia throughout Vietnam’s past national safeguarding struggle and its ongoing national construction process, he said, affirming that Vietnam always attaches importance to ties with Russia and traditional partners under its consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, and diversification and multilateralisation of external relations.

He expressed Vietnam’s strong desire to boost joint work in scientific research, especially in such cutting-edge fields as artificial intelligence (AI), high technology, and quantum technology to advance sustainable development in each country.

Vietnam pursues the policy of expanding educational ties with the countries boasting advanced academic systems, with Russia holding a special position on the back of its decades of trust and close collaboration with Vietnam, he said.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at the National University of Science and Technology MISiS Andrey Voronin expressed eagerness to deepen cooperation with Vietnamese universities and educational establishments, and voiced readiness to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese students, contributing to their academic success and Vietnam’s national development.
