London (VNA) – Twelve Vietnamese enterprises garnered strong attention at London Packaging Week 2025, held on October 15–16 at ExCeL London, the UK’s largest exhibition centre.
The Vietnamese pavilion featured a wide array of products ranging from molded wooden pallets, adhesive labels, and shrink films to flexible, carton, woven PP, and cement packaging. The displays highlighted Vietnam’s growing expertise in sustainable and eco-friendly packaging solutions that meet UK and EU standards.
According to Le Dinh Ba, Trade Counsellor at the Vietnam Trade Office in the UK, organising a national booth at the event was aimed at helping Vietnamese exporters, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises promote their brands, connect with partners, and access the UK market efficiently and cost-effectively.
Vietnamese packaging products drew interest from international visitors for their innovative materials and environmental sustainability.
Pham Van Duc, Sales Director of Greenovation Packaging, said the company’s molded wood pallets made entirely from recycled wood received enthusiastic feedback for helping reduce costs and waste while supporting a greener supply chain.
He noted that many buyers and potential partners were particularly interested in 100% recycled products, viewing them as part of a global shift toward sustainable production. He added that the event provided a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese firms to showcase high-quality, eco-friendly packaging to the UK and global markets.
Trade Counsellor Le Dinh Ba observed that Vietnamese enterprises are increasingly well-prepared to enter developed markets, including the UK, EU, and North America. He noted that the UK’s separation from the EU offers new advantages for Vietnamese exporters that already comply with high technical and environmental standards.
The London Packaging Week is the UK’s leading trade promotion event for the packaging industry, covering sectors such as food and beverages, consumer goods, cosmetics, and luxury products. The 2025 edition, now in its 15th year, gathered more than 200 exhibitors and about 5,500 visitors over two days.
Nguyen Nhu Khue, General Director of Lotus Packaging, which supplies major UK retailers such as Tesco and Aldi, said the company’s participation helped identify new market trends in sustainable packaging and explore further business opportunities in the UK and Europe.
Ba reaffirmed that the Vietnam Trade Office in the UK will continue to support Vietnamese companies in promoting exports, not only in packaging but also in other high-potential sectors such as food, footwear, and fashion, helping them strengthen their foothold in the demanding yet promising UK market./.
