VinFast launches three dual-battery electric scooters

The newly introduced models, Vero X, Feliz, and Feliz Lite, joined VinFast’s existing Evo Grand and Evo Grand Lite to complete the firm’s lineup of dual-battery electric scooters to accelerate the country’s green transition.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast unveiled three new electric scooter models on September 10, all quipped with dual-battery systems, including one removable secondary battery, marking a bold step towards sustainable transport development.

The newly introduced models, Vero X, Feliz, and Feliz Lite, joined VinFast’s existing Evo Grand and Evo Grand Lite to complete the firm’s lineup of dual-battery electric scooters to accelerate the country’s green transition.

Each model has a fixed 2.4kWh battery under the footboard and a removable battery of the same capacity put under the seat. This configuration extends the riding range from 134 kilometres on a single battery to 262 kilometres with both engaged. The auxiliary battery, priced at 5 million VND (190 USD), can be easily removed for external charging.

Among the three models, Vero X targets the near-premium segment, standing out with a stylish design and upgraded features. It features a TFT display, smart key, and up to 35 litres of storage. Its 2,250-watt motor delivers 70 km/h top speed with 15-second zero-to-50 km/h acceleration. It comes with four color options, priced at 34.9 million VND.

Meanwhile, Feliz and Feliz Lite retain the popular Feliz design, with the former offering higher performance at 70 km/h and the latter tailored for students or unlicenced riders with a 48 km/h cap. Both use 2,800 W BLDC Inhub motors, accelerate to 50 km/h in under 16 seconds. VinFast offers the two models in five colours with a retail price of 25.9 million VND each.

VinFast is running a promotional programme valid through December 31, offering 10% discounts on vehicle prices and complete exemption from registration fees. Accordingly, customers could own the Feliz or Feliz Lite models at 22.79 million VND and Vero X at 30.71 million VND.

Besides, all of VinFast electric scooters using lithium iron phosphate batteries enjoy a six-year vehicle warranty and an eight-year battery one. Users will also enjoy free charging at VinFast’s V-Green network across the nation until May 2027./.

Reducing risks, removing logistics bottlenecks amid Middle East volatility

According to Truong Xuan Trung, Trade Counsellor of Vietnam in the UAE, the Middle East serves not only as a consumption market but also as a key global transhipment hub, meaning instability in the region creates ripple effects across intercontinental transport networks. Shipping route adjustments and airspace restrictions have lengthened transit times, increased costs and disrupted delivery schedules, with some Vietnamese shipments forced to reroute or seek alternative markets.
