An Giang (VNA) - Blessed with turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, pristine forests and a rich marine ecosystem, Phu Quoc is not only a gift of nature but also an emerging world-class resort and entertainment destination, home to a growing collection of iconic attractions. Today, a journey to Pearl Island offers travellers the chance to embrace the untouched beauty of the sea while discovering three Guinness World Records in one memorable trip.

Taking in Phu Quoc’s sea and sky from the world’s longest three-cable car

The journey to Phu Quoc’s world records begins with the Hon Thom Cable Car, connecting An Thoi Town with Hon Thom Island. Stretching 7,899.9 metres, the system was recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s longest three-cable car on February 4, 2018, and has since become one of Phu Quoc’s must-try experiences.

From the cabin suspended high above the sea, travellers can admire the island from a bird’s-eye view, taking in the breathtaking beauty of the An Thoi archipelago. Below, colourful fishing boats appear to float on crystal-clear waters, while small islands rise gently from the emerald sea and the horizon stretches endlessly into the distance. Gliding over the ocean from hundreds of metres above makes the journey to Hon Thom an experience filled with wonder and emotion.

From the world’s longest three-cable car, visitors can take in panoramic views of southern Phu Quoc’s sea and forest landscape.

The cable car brings visitors to Sun World Hon Thom, where they can spend a full day exploring Aquatopia Water Park, the thrilling Exotica Village, or watching the sunset at the picturesque Santo Beach Club. Aquatopia offers a vibrant water world with more than 20 slides of different levels, making it ideal for families, groups of friends and travellers looking to cool off in an energetic setting.

One of Aquatopia’s newest highlights is PowerRAPIDS, a next-generation water slide making its world debut, according to Blooloop. Unlike traditional slides that mainly deliver the thrill of a steep drop, PowerRAPIDS recreates the excitement of rafting through rushing waters, with continuous turns, changing currents and unexpected bursts of speed. Designed for several riders on the same raft, it allows families and groups of friends to share the adventure together. As the first water park in the world to operate PowerRAPIDS, Aquatopia adds yet another must-try experience to Hon Thom.

An artistic night on a world-record stage

As the day turns into evening, the journey continues back to Sunset Town, one of Phu Quoc’s most atmospheric destinations. Mediterranean-inspired streets, sea-facing squares, the iconic Kiss Bridge and glowing sunsets create a dreamy setting for visitors to stroll, take photos and enjoy the relaxed rhythm of life by the sea.

At the stage of Kiss of the Sea, visitors can immerse themselves in a love story told through technology and emotion.

Here, travellers can admire the second Guinness-recognised attraction in Phu Quoc: the stage of the multimedia show Kiss of the Sea. The venue was honoured as the world’s largest outdoor theatre with a permanent water screen and the highest seating capacity.

The stage impresses with a water screen measuring 23 metres high and 44 metres wide, creating a projection area of up to 920 square metres. Its grandstand can accommodate 5,000 guests, two to three times larger than several well-known outdoor multimedia shows in the world, such as Wings of Time in Sentosa, Singapore, with 2,500 seats, or Legend of Pangu in Lanzhou, China, with 1,500 seats.

Alongside multimedia effects combining water, fire and light, Kiss of the Sea ends with a dazzling fireworks display, creating unforgettable emotions for visitors.

On this world-record stage, audiences are invited into an artistic universe where the love story between a young man from Phu Quoc and a girl from a distant galaxy is told through the language of technology and emotion. A multimedia system combining water, fire, laser, light, music and performances by more than 60 international artists creates a spectacular visual feast by the sea. Each night ends with a brilliant fireworks display, a signature of Sunset Town and one of the most anticipated moments for visitors every evening.

Sipping beer and watching fireworks at the world’s largest seaside beer restaurant

Recently, Phu Quoc’s Guinness collection welcomed a new addition: Sun Bavaria GastroPub, recognised as the world’s largest seaside beer restaurant. Covering 6,825 square metres and able to host around 5,000 guests, the venue adds a new festive highlight to Sunset Town.

Located by the sea, Sun Bavaria GastroPub is more than a dining destination. It is a large-scale festival space. The venue stands out with its signature red tones, curved arches, raw brick walls and black steel details, evoking the spirit of traditional Bavarian breweries in Germany. The design feels open, bold and full of character, matching the lively atmosphere of this seaside festival town.

The world’s largest seaside beer restaurant stands out with a design inspired by Bavarian breweries in Germany.

Its appeal also comes from Sun KraftBeer, a German-style craft beer brewed using traditional techniques and carefully selected malt, hops and yeast imported from Germany and the United States. The result is an authentic taste of Bavaria in the heart of the Pearl Island.

Another highlight of Sun Bavaria GastroPub is its sea-facing outdoor area. Here, visitors can enjoy food, sip craft beer and watch Symphony of the Sea. The show combines music, light, water, fireworks and extreme sports performances on the water, creating an atmosphere that is both relaxing and exhilarating.

Sun Bavaria GastroPub is also one of the best spots to enjoy Symphony of the Sea, with panoramic views of jetski, flyboard, laser and fireworks performances.

Phu Quoc’s three Guinness World Records are not merely symbols of scale or technology. They also reflect the island’s continuous effort to elevate the travel experience. From the world’s longest three-cable car and an artistic night on a record-breaking outdoor stage to the largest seaside beer restaurant on the planet, each attraction helps create distinctive experiences rarely found elsewhere in Vietnam.

That is why, beyond its natural beauty, Phu Quoc is increasingly affirming its appeal as an international-class destination, where travellers come not only to relax, but also to discover iconic attractions, conquer world records and bring home experiences found only on the Pearl Island./.
