Lao diplomatic missions in China, France congratulate Vietnam on National Day

The Lao diplomatic missions in China and France on August 27 visited the Vietnamese Embassies and Vietnamese representative agencies in the host countries on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of Vietnam, demonstrating the special friendship and close ties between Laos and Vietnam.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Lao diplomatic missions in China and France on August 27 visited the Vietnamese Embassies and Vietnamese representative agencies in the host countries on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2025) of Vietnam, demonstrating the special friendship and close ties between Laos and Vietnam.

Lao Ambassador to China Somphone Sichaleune congratulated the great achievements that the Vietnamese Party, State and people have attained over the 80-year journey of struggle for national independence, construction and development.

He affirmed that the two countries have always stood side by side, supported and helped each other wholeheartedly both during the past struggles for national liberation as well as the current period of national construction and development, which, he assessed, is very rare in international relations.

The Lao diplomat appreciated and thanked Vietnam for its great assistance which has been making an important contribution to Laos’s socio-economic development, affirming that Vietnam's model of construction and development in the new era is a valuable reference lesson for his country.

Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh affirmed that the solidarity, and wholehearted support and assistance of the Lao people contributed significantly to the overall victory of the August Revolution.

Binh stressed that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos will continue to be preserved and promoted by today and future generations.

The two sides agreed to enhance coordination and exchanges between the two embassies in China to contribute to the overall development of Vietnam - Laos relations.

Meanwhile, Lao Ambassador to France Kham-Inh Khitchadeth sent his warmest congratulations to the Party, State and people of Vietnam, affirming that the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day is also a great event and a happy day for the Lao Party, State and people.

Kham-Inh said that Laos has learned a lot from the important socio-economic development achievements that Vietnam has achieved in the past time, and expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the valuable support that it has given to Laos.

Showing his appreciation for the bilateral friendship and special solidarity, Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang hoped that in the coming years, Vietnam and Laos will continue to move forward together and reap important achievements./.
