- Party General Secretary To Lam, who is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission, had a working session with the Military Command of the southern province of Binh Duong on January 5.

After listening to a report on the command's performance in 2024, especially in reinforcing the all-people's defence, enhancing combat capacity, promoting production and acting as a firm support for the provincial Party Committee, authorities, and people, General Secretary Lam hailed the achievements that the command in particular and Binh Duong in general gained in the past year. - Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man has granted an interview to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 and the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), spotlighting significant legislative reforms in 2024 that helped pave the way for the country to enter a new era – the era of the nation's rise. - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man paid pre-Tet visits to the families of late Party General Secretaries Truong Chinh and Nguyen Phu Trong, late NA Chairman Le Quang Dao, and visited former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and former NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung in Hanoi on January 5.

- It is imperative to ensure that mistakes are not compounded, and no misconduct or corruption occurs during the process of tackling difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of projects in Ho Chi Minh City, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

At a working session with HCM City's authorities and Steering Committee 1568 tasked with reviewing and dealing with obstacles related to various projects in the city, PM Chinh said HCM City, recognised as the economic powerhouse and the largest financial and commercial hub of the country, plays a pivotal role in overcoming project-related challenges. - A total of 76,179 enterprises resumed operations in Vietnam in 2024, according to the Agency for Business Registration under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

On average, 6,348 enterprises returned to operation each month.

In December alone, 8,843 enterprises resumed operations nationwide, marking a 14.8% increase compared to the previous month. This brought the total number of new enterprises and those returning to operations in 2024 to 233,419 businesses. Read full story

- Leading global technology corporations are making strategic moves to shift supply chains, establish research centres, and expand investments in Vietnam, presenting a tremendous opportunity for the country to strengthen its semiconductor industry by adopting the strategy of standing on the shoulders of giants.
