- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh host a reception for General Director of Samsung Vietnam Choi Joo Ho and his successor Na Ki Hong in Hanoi on February 12.

During the reception, PM Chinh thanked Choi for his contributions to the development of Samsung Vietnam and the relationship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK). He called on Na to continue effectively implementing Samsung's investment strategies and plans in Vietnam. Read full story

- Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son delivered speeches at two forums themed “Emerging Economies” and “Sustainable Development Goals in Action” within the framework of the World Governments Summit 2025 (WGS 2025) in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on February 12.

At the session themed Emerging Economies, Son shared Vietnam's perspective on the current global landscape, and its development directions, and highlighted opportunities for emerging economies. Read full story

- Preparations are in full swing for Vietnam’s military parades and processions of civil forces to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975-2025) as well as the 80th National Day (September 2, 1945-2025).

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, chaired a meeting with relevant agencies and units in Hanoi on February 12 to assess progress and ensure every detail is meticulously planned for these milestone celebrations. Co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the summit brought together leaders from nearly 60 countries and territories, along with international organisations, major technology firms such as Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI, and leading AI experts. - The Agritechnica Asia Vietnam 2025 exhibition will showcase cutting-edge agricultural technologies focused on sustainability and productivity amid climate change challenges in Southeast Asia.

Organised by the German Agricultural Society (DLG), the National Agricultural Extension Centre and Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the event will be held for the first time in Vietnam from March 12 to 14, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, organisers said on February 12. - Bamboo Airways recorded the highest on-time performance (OTP) among Vietnamese airlines in January, which coincided with the peak Lunar New Year (Tet) travel season, with 84.3% of its flights departing on schedule, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

The average OTP across Vietnam’s aviation industry in January 2025 stood at 60%, down 7.7 percentage points from February 2024, when the previous Tet was observed, the CAAV's preliminary data show. Read full story./.
