- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on February 24 received Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Sangiampongsa who is on an official visit to Vietnam from February 23-25.

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited several medical establishments on February 24 on the occasion of the Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27), during which he stressed that the medical profession is a special occupation, and those working in this sector must meet both professional qualifications and ethical standards.

At a ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of the Vietnamese Doctors' Day at Bạch Mai Hospital, on behalf of Party and State leaders, PM Chinh awarded the Meritorious Doctor title to 25 individuals and the third-class Labour Order to two others. Read full story

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will chair a meeting with female generals, heroines of the people's armed forces, labour heroines, and female scientists on the occasion of the International Women’s Day on March 8, according to the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) Central Committee.

Jointly held by the VWU Central Committee, the Government Office and the Ministry of Home Affairs, the meeting will see the participation of 280 delegates, including Party and State leaders, business and ministry representatives, female generals, heroines of the people's armed forces, labour heroines, and female scientists who have received the Kovalevskaia Award since 1985. - The Ministry of National Defence on February 24 held a ceremony to present the State President’s decisions to five officers who are about to depart for missions at United Nations (UN) peacekeeping missions and the European Union Training Mission (EUTM).

Accordingly, Lieutenant Colonel Le Minh Thao was assigned as a military observer at the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), and Major Le Thi Phuong Dung and First Lieutenant Pham Duc Tho were appointed as military observers at the UN Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA). Meanwhile, Captain Nguyen Anh Tuan will take on an intelligence analysis role at the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), and Captain Nguyen Thanh Hai will serve the EUTM in the Central African Republic. - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son hosted a reception in Hanoi on February 24 for German Ambassador to Vietnam Helga Margarete during which he expressed his belief that in her new role, the diplomat will make significant contributions to fostering the sound relationship between the two countries.

The Deputy PM was pleased to note that the Vietnam-Germany Strategic Partnership is in a positive phase of development, with ample opportunities to expand and elevate cooperation, especially as the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year. - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son held talks with Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Sangiampongsa in Hanoi on February 24.

Welcoming the Thai FM on his first official visit to Vietnam from February 23-25, Son affirmed that the trip will contribute to promoting extensive cooperation between the two countries as well as between the two foreign ministries in the context of the two countries preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations in 2026. - The DakLak September 2nd Import-Export Company Limited (Simexco Daklak) on February 24 exported a batch of Cascara specialty coffee husk to the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The shipment consisted of 500 kg of coffee husk, valued at nearly 1 million VND (40 USD) per kg. This event marked an important milestone in Simexco Daklak's strategy to develop specialty coffee products, opening up new opportunities for the Vietnamese coffee industry to expand globally./.
