- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son made several recommendations for Vietnam – Türkiye ties to grow substantively while talking over the phone with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan on March 3.

Son affirmed that Türkiye is a leading partner of Vietnam in the Middle East, and noted with satisfaction the recent progress in bilateral relations, especially since Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to Türkiye in November 2023, with economic cooperation being a bright spot.Read full story

- The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations hosted a ceremony on March 3 to commemorate the 147th anniversary of Bulgaria’s National Day (March 3, 1878) and the 75th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic relations (1950–2025), highlighting the solidarity and friendship between the two countries.

In her congratulatory remarks, Chairwoman of the municipal Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association Hoang Thai Lan expressed her delight at the robust and sound development of bilateral ties across various fields, including diplomacy, education, trade, and investment. With their historical similarities, Vietnam and Bulgaria have fostered a steadfast and loyal friendship, continuously nurtured by their leaders and people over more than seven decades.Read full story

- Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fisheries exports reached an estimated 4.4 billion USD in February, marking a 37.2% increase compared to the same period last year, pushing the total value in the first two months of 2025 to 9.38 billion USD, up 8.3% year on year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MoAE).

Of the total, agricultural products brought home 4.89 billion USD during the first two months, up 4.5%, while the contribution from animal farming was 72.2 million USD, marking a 4% increase. Aquatic product exports saw a significant boost of 18.6% to 1.42 billion USD, and forestry product exports rose 11.9% to 2.68 billion USD. Salt exports saw a remarkable increase, doubling to 1.4 million USD. Read full story

- The Hanoi Housing Development and Investment Corporation (Handico) and Viglacera Corporation on March 3 officially broke ground for the construction of the CT3 apartment complex, which includes 1,104 affordable housing units at Thang Long Green City in the Kim Chung Urban Area in Hanoi's Dong Anh district.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan emphasised the need for efficient construction to ensure safety, quality and early project completion. Read full story

- The 4th Hardware Camp for Fast and Low-Light Detection is being held in Quy Nhon city, the south-central province of Binh Dinh from March 3-8, attracting the participation of over 30 scientists, researchers and postgraduates from the US, Germany, Japan, India, the Czech Republic and Vietnam.

The programme is jointly organised by the Rencontres du Vietnam Association, the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education, and its Institute for Interdisciplinary Research in Science and Education (IFIRSE). Read full story
