- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Ibrahim Boughali, Speaker of the National People's Assembly (APN) of Algeria, on November 20, within the framework of his official visit to the African nation.

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on November 20 evening (Hanoi time) asked police, military, militia and youth forces to reach flood-isolated areas overnight to rescue residents and deliver food, water and other aid by all means.

Chairing an an emergency online meeting with representatives of ministries, agencies and localities on responses to heavy rains, floods, and other natural disasters in several central provinces while in Algeria, the leader urged localities to review and assess conditions, especially in submerged and cut-off areas, to plan timely support. - As part of his official visit to Algeria, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held working sessions on November 20 with several Algerian ministers and leaders of major economic groups and organisations of the African nation to advance the implementation of the newly established Vietnam–Algeria Strategic Partnership.

At a meeting with Algerian Minister of State for Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab, PM Chinh noted that during his talks and meetings with host leaders, the two sides shared the view that there are no limits to bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic sphere. He proposed expanding oil exploration alongside deeper collaboration in petrochemicals and petroleum processing to increase resources value. - South Africa hopes and needs Vietnam to be part of the G20 and also wants the world to understand that solidarity is a deliberate choice, South African Ambassador to Vietnam Vuyiswa Tulelo has stated.

- A conference on national tourism promotion for 2026 has been held in the northern province of Ninh Binh, aimed at strengthening Vietnam’s global destination competitiveness and improving coordination among government agencies, localities and businesses.

The November 19 event, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the provincial People’s Committee, also sought to expand private-sector participation in promotion activities and leverage Vietnam’s cultural, heritage, culinary and natural assets to sharpen its national tourism brand. - A Vietnamese delegation led by Ambassador to France and Representative of the State President to the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) Dinh Toan Thang attended the 46th session of the Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie (CMF 46) in Kigali, Rwanda, on November 19-20.

In his remarks at the conference, Thang affirmed that Vietnam attaches great importance to gender equality and women’s empowerment, noting the country’s significant achievements in this area. Ship 016–Quang Trung of Brigade 162 under Naval Region 4 departed Sydney Harbour on the morning of March 25 for home after successfully completing activities within the framework of the Exercise Kakadu Fleet Review 2026 marking the 125th anniversary of the Royal Australian Navy and the multilateral naval exercise Kakadu 2026.
