Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,120 VND/USD on November 17, down 2 VND from the last working day of the previous week.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,376 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,864 VND/USD.
At 8:13, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw mixed fluctuations.
Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 26,156 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,376 VND/USD. Compared with the November 14 session, the selling rate at both banks fell slightly by 2 VND. Meanwhile, the buying rates moved in opposite directions, with BIDV down 4 VND and Vietcombank up 18 VND./.
