Reference exchange rate up slightly at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,152 VND/USD on December 8, up 1 VND from the last working day of the previous week.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,152 VND/USD on December 8, up 1 VND from the last working day of the previous week.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,410 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,894 VND/USD.

At 8:25, the buying and selling rates at major commercial banks also saw a slight increase.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 26,169 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,409 VND/USD, up 1 VND from the December 5 morning session./.
