Three former officials expelled from Party

The three's wrongdoings led to very serious consequences, stirred public concern, and caused very negative impact on the Party organisations and agencies they worked for.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Party Central Committee’s Secretariat on November 7 decided to expel two former officials of Dong Nai province and another of former Phu Yen province from the Party due to their serious wrongdoings.

They include Cao Tien Dung, former member of the Standing Board of the Dong Nai provincial Party Committee, former head of the provincial Party Committee’s Board for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, former Director of the provincial Department of Planning and Investment; and Nguyen Quoc Hung, former member of the Standing Board of the Dong Nai provincial Party Committee, former member of the Party Civil Affairs Board at and former Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

The other is Nguyen Tan Chan, former member of the Party Committee of Phu Yen province (now part of Dak Lak province), former Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of and former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Phu Yen’s Tay Hoa district.

After considering the Inspection Commission’s proposals on the punishment of violating Party members, the Secretariat found that the three had shown degraded political thought, morality, and lifestyle; violated the Party’s regulations and the State’s laws while performing the assigned duties and responsibilities; broke the rules on the things Party members are banned from doing and on the responsibility for leading by example, leading to very serious consequences, stirring public concern, and causing very negative impact on the Party organisations and agencies they worked for.

Given the wrongdoings’ content, characteristics, extent, consequences, and causes and basing on the Party’s regulations on the punishment of violating Party members, the Secretariat decided to expel Cao Tien Dung, Nguyen Quoc Hung, and Nguyen Tan Chan from the Party.

It also requested relevant authorities to issue timely administrative disciplinary measures consistent with the Party’s./.
