Hanoi (VNA) – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac, Standing Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA), on April 28 hosted Chakil Felizardo Aboobacar, Secretary General of the ruling Mozambique Liberation Front (FRELIMO) Party, to discuss cooperation between the HCMA and Mozambican partners.

The two sides highlighted the fruitful outcomes of their existing partnership. The HCMA has worked closely with FRELIMO’s Central Party School through regular mutual visits, short-term training programmes, and the implementation of a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

Since 2009, the academy has welcomed three delegations of senior FRELIMO officials and conducted two refresher courses for FRELIMO cadres.

Building on this momentum, they agreed to coordinate with relevant agencies of the two countries to launch new training programmes for Mozambican officials. These future programmes will cover such topics as the party building and rectification, the party leadership, socio-economic development models, science and technology, agricultural policy, social welfare, administrative reform, digital governance, foreign relations, and national defence – security.

Both sides also underscored the importance of broadening academic and policy dialogue. Plans are in motion to co-host conferences, seminars, and workshops, in both Vietnam and Mozambique, that will foster knowledge exchange and capacity-building in leadership, national development, poverty reduction, cultural and social advancement, and environmental protection./.
