Hanoi (VNA) – Dozens of Vietnamese and Cambodian enterprises in production, distribution, logistics, and cross-border trade are set to attend a conference in the southern province of Tay Ninh on September 13.
The event, co-organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, and the Tay Ninh People's Committee, will be chaired by Vietnamese Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang and Cambodian Under Secretary of State for Commerce Rithipol, said the MoIT's Agency for Domestic Market Surveillance and Development.
The conference will review outcomes of border trade cooperation since 2020 and discuss measures to boost bilateral investment, upgrade border trade infrastructure, and expand future collaboration.
It will create opportunities for enterprises from both countries to engage in direct business matching, supply – demand connection, and product showcasing at designated exhibition areas. Business associations, enterprises, and localities are also expected to sign memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements.
On the sidelines, the agency, in coordination with relevant partners, will organise a training session on border trade infrastructure for traders and management officials, aiming to strengthen connectivity and promote sustainable market development./.
