Hung Yen (VNA) - Officials, Party members, and citizens across the northern province of Hung Yen are poring over the draft political report to be submitted to the upcoming 14th National Party Congress, marked by a blend of duty, intellectual vigor, and deep faith in the Party’s leadership.

Nguyen Ngoc Hoan, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Hung Yen Petroleum One Member Limited Liability Company, praised the draft for innovative approach and bold growth targets, noting its clear roadmap with specific tasks and action plans to achieve the set goals.

Hoan is particularly impressed by certain points, such as the commitment to “build and complete a comprehensive institutional framework,” the push to establish state-owned economic giants capable of competing globally in sectors like energy, and the emphasis on “breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation” as the engine of Vietnam’s future.

He also commended the draft's streamlined structure following the merger of political, socio-economic, and Party building reports into a single, focused document. The accompanying action plan sets concrete targets for ministries, agencies, and localities, signaling the Party’s resolve to turn the Congress’s Resolution into reality.

The document, once approved, would create a “clear runway” for enterprises to take off, he said as a state-owned enterprise executive.

In the Doan Thuong residential area of Son Nam ward, Nguyen Duc Than, head of the local Veterans’ Association, brings a different lens. He fixated on a shift in the draft political report: the use of “breakthrough in development” to describe the future of Vietnam’s defence and security industries. In previous resolutions, he noted, the language leaned on softer terms like “development” or “building.” This new phrasing signals a strong political determination to propel the sector forward.

This focus, he believed, equips the Vietnam People’s Army and other forces to firmly defend national independence and sovereignty under all circumstances, particularly against modern threats like cyber warfare./
