Japanese group launches first hotel project in Vietnam

Route Inn Group from Japan has launched its first ever four-star hotel project – the Grandvrio Da Nang City – in the central city, marking its first appearance in Vietnam’s hospitality market, and the start of a plan to develop a chain of 50 hotels in the country.

Da Nang (VNA) - Route Inn Group from Japan has launched its first everfour-star hotel project – the Grandvrio Da Nang City – in the central city,marking its first appearance in Vietnam’s hospitality market, and the start ofa plan to develop a chain of 50 hotels in the country.

The Grouptold Vietnam News that the four-star project, which is located in the citycentre, was built on an area of 4,360sq.m with total investment of 400 billionVND (18 million USD).

Thetwo-building hotel will supply 169 rooms to the city’s hospitality market from2017.

The Groupalso said it’s the first step on the way to entering the country’s tourism andaccommodation market.

Route InnGroup has also been developing the five-star Grand Ocean Resort in Dien Nam-DienNgoc, Quang Nam province.

Theintroduction of the four-star hotel project also marked the first investment bya Japanese company in the hospitality sector in Vietnam.

Accordingto Da Nang city’s liaison office in Tokyo and Yokohama, the project aims toincrease investment flows and tourists from Japan to Da Nang and the centralregion in the near future.

In 2015,Route Inn Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Da Nang-based Dong ACollege on tourism service employee training.

Asscheduled, the group will recruit 200 graduates from the college starting in2018 to serve a chain of 320 hotels in Japan and Vietnam.-VNA
