Nguyen Duc Trung re-elected as Secretary of Nghe An Party Committee

The 68-strong 20th Nghe An provincial Party Committee elected 17 members to its Standing Board, the Secretary, three Deputy Secretaries, and 11 members of the Inspection Board for the 2025–2030 tenure.

Nghe An (VNA) – Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of the Nghe An provincial Party Committee for the 2020–2025 tenure, was re-elected to the position for the 2025–2030 tenure at the first meeting of the 20th provincial Party Committee on October 2.

Born in 1974 in Tinh Hai commune, Tinh Gia district (now Hai Binh ward), Thanh Hoa province, Trung holds a master’s degree in economics and a high-level degree in political theory.

Before taking office as Secretary of the Nghe An Party Committee, Trung held various key positions at the Ministry of Planning and Investment. On November 11, 2024, he was elected as Secretary of the 19th Nghe An provincial Party Committee for the 2020–2025 tenure.

On behalf of the provincial Party Committee, Trung pledged to strictly uphold the principles of Party leadership, further promote solidarity, innovation, collective wisdom, democracy and discipline, and lead the implementation of the Resolution of the 20th provincial Party Congress to success.
