Reference exchange rate down 8 VND at week’s beginning

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,219 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,722 VND/USD.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,970 VND/USD on June 2, down 8 VND from the last work day of the previous week.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,219 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,722 VND/USD.

At 8:20 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw increases.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,850 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,210 VND/USD, up 20 VND from the May 30 morning session./.
