Vietnam Medipharm Expo 2025 opens in HCM City

The event, co-organised by VINEXAD and the Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association, showcases products and services across 450 booths.

HCM City (VNA) – The 23rd edition of Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition 2025 (Vietnam Medipharm Expo) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on July 31, bringing together over 400 exhibitors from 20 countries and territories.

The event, co-organised by VINEXAD and the Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association, showcases products and services across 450 booths.

This year’s exhibition provides a comprehensive overview of the medical and pharmaceutical sector, featuring a diverse range of products, including medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, functional foods, packaging machinery, beauty devices, cosmetics, and smart health technologies.

The expo saw the participation of companies from the Republic of Korea, such as Sky Softgel Co., Ltd., which specialises in pharmaceutical packaging; VSI Co., Ltd., known for mobile X-ray equipment; and K-One Pharma Co., Ltd., which focuses on pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Notable pharmaceutical firms from India include Caltron Clays & Chemicals, Hetero Labs, and Relco Pharma Chem.

Vietnamese firms also have a strong presence. Key exhibitors include Thanh Truc Medical Aesthetic Equipment Co., Ltd., Lam Viet Scientific Trading Co., Ltd., and TÜV Rheinland Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hua Phu Doan, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association, announced a series of sidelines events taking place during the expo that runs until August 2. These include specialised seminars on topics such as updates to the Pharmaceutical Law and Bidding Law affecting SMEs; accessing green finance for sustainable medical and pharmaceutical production; trends in AI and green technology innovation in Vietnam’s healthcare sector

The event provides a platform for businesses to connect with experts, policymakers, and partners, helping to address practical challenges and promote sustainable growth in Vietnam’s medical and pharmaceutical industries./.

In terms of product structure, squid has emerged as the main growth driver. Export turnover of squid exceeded 64 million USD, rising nearly 30%, while octopus exports brought in more than 47 million USD, up over 16%. The development indicates that demand for squid products is recovering faster in the short term.

Tourism in the province has recorded strong growth, affirming its position as one of the region’s leading destinations.
