Before the ceremony, Vietnamese and Russian delegates attended a flower-laying ceremony marking the renaming of a bus stop as “Ho Chi Minh Park” and paid tribute at a monument to President Ho Chi Minh in Vladivostok.
Addressing the event, Vietnamese Consul General in Vladivostok Nguyen Viet Kien recalled the historic significance of the August Revolution and National Day, which opened a new era of independence and freedom for Vietnam. He highlighted the valuable support extended by the former Soviet Union and present-day Russia to Vietnam’s national construction and development.
He also briefed the participants on Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements in 2025 and the first half of 2026, as well as development orientations set by the 14th National Party Congress toward the country’s long-term development goals.
