Jakarta (VNA) – A ceremony marking the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) was hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia on February 5.
In his address, Vietnamese Ambassador Ta Van Thong described the event as an opportunity to reflect on remarkable achievements Vietnam has made in national construction and defence under the CPV’s sound leadership, which has also reinforced Party members' faith in the CPV, fostering unity and collective efforts toward national development.
Under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh, the CPV was founded, marking a historic turning point in the struggle for national independence and freedom, leading to the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. In an era of globalisation and integration, the Party has introduced timely and effective policies and guidelines that drive sustainable development and elevate Vietnam’s global standing, he said.
The ambassador noted that the year 2025 holds particular significance for both Vietnam and Indonesia as they celebrate the 80th anniversary of independence and 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties. These milestones present important opportunities to further strengthen bilateral ties and lift their strategic partnership.
On the occasion, Thong launched an emulation movement following the example of President Ho Chi Minh. He urged Party members serving in Indonesia to build on the successes achieved by the Party and the people, contributing further to the country's diplomatic efforts abroad.
He also encouraged them to strive harder, bolster the spirit of solidarity, creativity and determination to achieve the goals and tasks set by the 13th National Party Congress./.
