Vietnam’s largest furniture expo opens in HCM City

Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – The Vietnam International Furniture and Home Accessories Fair 2025 (VIFA EXPO 2025) opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City on March 5, reaffirming its status as the country’s largest and most influential furniture trade event.

The three-day exhibition showcases an extensive array of products, including indoor and outdoor furniture, handicrafts, home décor, machinery, and supporting services. Covering over 40,000 sq.m, VIFA EXPO 2025 offers a dynamic business environment for enterprises to showcase their latest innovations and forge connections with foreign buyers.

This year’s edition gathers over 650 exhibitors, with 52% coming from 19 countries and territories, while 48% represent Vietnam’s leading furniture hubs across 17 provinces and cities. In a move to bolster international trade, the expo has partnered with major cross-border e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Wayfair, facilitating access to global end-users for Vietnamese businesses via B2C channels.

Beyond a showcase of products, VIFA EXPO 2025 serves as a key networking and knowledge-sharing platform, helping businesses explore new markets and strengthen their competitive edge. Buyers can discover high-quality, unique designs tailored to evolving global trends.

Marking its largest scale yet, the event provides extensive support for participants, from logistics and accommodation to tailored business matchmaking. A series of industry-focused seminars runs in parallel, while international buyers can join complimentary factory tours, gaining direct insight into Vietnam’s thriving furniture manufacturing industry.

Vo Tan Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), emphasised that while Vietnam’s furniture sector has cemented its global reputation, it faces challenges from shifting trade policies, conflicts and competition between regions. As the country’s longest-running furniture trade fair, VIFA EXPO remains a crucial driver of international expansion, offering a premier platform for enterprises to connect with global partners to diversify their markets./.

Export turnover of squid exceeded 64 million USD, rising nearly 30%, while octopus exports brought in more than 47 million USD, up over 16%.
