Hanoi (VNA) - VinFast reported strong sales in June 2025, delivering 11,382 electric vehicles (EVs) to customers in the domestic market.
The result brought its total sales in the first half of the year to 67,569 units, the highest ever six-month sales in Vietnam’s auto industry.
The VF 3 mini electric car led June’s sales with 3,667 units, followed by the VF 5 with 3,060 units. Cumulatively, the sales of VF 3 and VF 5 have reached 23,083 and 21,812 units, respectively, making them Vietnam’s best-selling EVs in the first half of 2025.
VinFast, a subordinate automaker of private conglomerate, attributed the growth to its strategy of offering compact, affordable models that suit local consumers' demand. The VF 3 and VF 5 are designed with cost-effective operations and accessibility in mind, expanding EV ownership to a broader population.
The sales of other models also showed positive performance. In June, the VF 6 crossover recorded 1,245 units sold, while 725 units of the VF 7 SUV were delivered to customers. Their respective six-month totals stood at 8,552 and 3,586 units.
Meanwhile, VinFast’s Green series vehicles - tailored for transport services - also contributed to the results, with the Herio Green and Nerio Green reaching ales of 916 and 1,415 units in June, respectively.
According to Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales at VinFast, the company’s growth reflects public support for its green mobility campaign, aligned with national efforts to promote environmentally friendly transport.
In parallel with its product expansion, VinFast also ramped up production capacity. In June, it inaugurated its second EV manufacturing plant in Vung Ang Economic Zone in central Ha Tinh province, set to produce small-sized models for both domestic and export markets./.
