Hanoi (VNA) - The first-ever Autumn Fair 2025, beyond a major trade gathering, serves as a cultural showcase that connects people, creativity, and production while promoting Vietnam’s integration into the global economy.

Opening on October 25 at the Vietnam Exposition Centre in Dong Anh, Hanoi, the event carries the theme “Connecting People with Production and Business.” It aims to celebrate Vietnamese cultural values while providing a vibrant space for trade promotion, innovation, and investment cooperation.

Enhancing Vietnam’s position on global trade map

According to Vo Tri Thanh, Director of the Institute for Brand and Competitiveness Strategy, the Autumn Fair is a significant milestone in Vietnam’s economic integration and development journey.

He said the initiative goes beyond promoting domestic trade, aiming to connect Vietnam with the world through its products and investments. The ambitious goals and large-scale organisation reflect a strategic vision to build a trade promotion space with depth and strong outreach, Thanh said.

Thanh noted that the fair highlights the connection between Vietnamese people, products, and businesses with international markets, reaffirming the strength of the domestic economy.

It also serves as an opportunity to assess trade promotion quality, drawing lessons to enhance future investment and market expansion efforts.

“If done well,” he added, “the Autumn Fair will become a meaningful event for the 2026–2030 period, helping raise Vietnam’s profile on the global trade and investment map.”

According to Thanh, the Autumn Fair is an important opportunity for businesses to transform, especially in branding, market approach, and partnerships. He said major trade promotion events call for proactive, professional product promotion, compelling brand storytelling, and clear supply capacity. It is also a chance for businesses to strengthen connections and build more strategic networks.

Meanwhile, Ha Vu Son, Director of the Can Tho Department of Industry and Trade, described the Autumn Fair 2025 as a “golden opportunity” for Can Tho’s businesses to showcase quality and reputation, expand their networks, and reach northern markets.

According to Ha Vu Son, the Autumn Fair 2025 is to showcase the finest regional products and serve as a platform for businesses, investors, and consumers to connect. He stressed that the fair’s success depends on the collective efforts of local authorities and the business community.

Bringing over 100 specialties and OCOP products to the Autumn Fair 2025 in Hanoi is a key move in Can Tho’s trade promotion, aiming to boost the value and nationwide recognition of the “Can Tho Specialties” brand.

A bridge connecting Vietnamese culture with the world

Sharing an international perspective, Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML) and Founder of Expo Bazaar, praised the scale and significance of Autumn Fair 2025, describing it as both a major trade promotion platform and a cultural bridge between Vietnam and the world.

India, participating with a delegation of 15 enterprises, not only showcases products but also seeks potential suppliers from Vietnam for key markets such as the United States, Europe, and India.

Kumar highlighted the similarities between Vietnam and India, saying that both nations have rich cultural traditions, a long-standing craft heritage, and deep respect for human creativity in production.

He said he believes that stronger business ties between the two countries will foster not just trade, but also the exchange of creativity, stories, and cultural identity.

With its scale, the Autumn Fair 2025 is seen as opening a new chapter in Vietnam–India trade, offering Indian businesses dynamic, reliable, and strategically minded partners in Vietnam.

The first Autumn Fair 2025 will run from October 25 to November 4 at the Vietnam Exposition Centre. The space covers over 130,000 sq.m with five themed zones and more than 3,000 booths. The event brings together 34 provinces, ministries, thousands of Vietnamese enterprises and cooperatives, and international partners, expecting around 500,000 visitors daily. It is set to be a major highlight in Vietnam’s national and regional trade promotion calendar./.
