Beijing (VNA) - The China-ASEAN Medical Regional Procurement Platform has been recently launched at a ceremony in Fangchenggang city, China’s Guangxi.

This is the first cross-border pharmaceutical regional centralised procurement platform guided by the National Medical Security Administration for local construction.

It is an information service platform that carries domestic and international medical centralised procurement business, realising the full process management of drugs, and medical consumables from centralised procurement to settlement.

Liao Pinhu, Vice Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, introduced that Guangxi has completed high-quality construction of the platform, the online Guangxi Medical Insurance Cloud Platform+N, and the China Medical Insurance Health Exhibition Hall, laying a solid foundation for carrying out procurement work for ASEAN and other countries.

Relying on this platform, Guangxi will actively promote the entry of domestically produced drugs and medical consumables into ASEAN countries, and innovate the establishment of convenient service channels for purchasing drugs at home and abroad, gradually meeting the real-time online drug purchasing needs of insured persons in Guangxi, medical personnel outside the region, and cross-border medical groups in ASEAN countries, Liao added./.
