Honda Vietnam reports growth in both motorcycle, auto sales in 2024

Hanoi (VNA) – Honda Vietnam Co., Ltd. has recently reported growth in both motorcycle and automobile sales in 2024, with year-on-year increases of 2.8% and 19%, respectively.

In the motorcycle segment, the company delivered more than 2.14 million units to buyers, representing 2.8% growth compared to 2023. Honda maintained its dominant position in the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM) with an impressive 80.9% market share, despite a slight decline of 2.09% from the previous year.

For the 2025 fiscal year (from April 2024 to March 2025), cumulative motorcycle sales by the end of December reached over 1.66 million units, a year-on-year rise of 6.1%. Besides, the company also strengthened its global presence by selling over 28,000 motorcycles to various markets.

Regarding the automotive segment, while December 2024 saw a 49% month-over-month decrease with 2,374 units sold, the overall performance for 2024 remained strong. The company's annual auto sales totaled 28,267 units, marking a 19% increase from the previous year.

The fiscal year 2025's cumulative auto sales by the end of December stood at 22,148 units, up 14% year-over-year, demonstrating resilience despite industry headwinds.
