Jakarta (VNA) - Indonesia has officially launched a new mobile application called “All Indonesia” which is designed to simplify entry procedures for international travelers, including tourists.
According to Indonesian Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, the app integrates arrival declarations from four government agencies of Immigration, Customs, Health, and Quarantine. The app also allows users to pay for a visa on arrival, helping reduce queues and delays at entry points.
Once the form is submitted, travellers will receive a QR code, which must be saved and presented at immigration or customs counters upon arrival in Indonesia.
It is already available for use and become mandatory starting September 1 at three major international airports - Soekarno-Hatta (Banten, near Jakarta), Ngurah Rai (Bali), and Juanda (East Java).
It will also be required at six international seaports in Batam, Riau Islands including Batam Centre, Nongsa, Marina, Sekupang, Harbour Bay, and Bengkong.
Travellers can complete the form up to three days before departure, either from their home country or at the airport. The form can also be completed online via allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id.
Widiyanti emphasised that the app supports the government’s Tourism 5.0 digital transformation programme, aimed at improving tourism through technology.
This marks a new era for Indonesian tourism. Digital tools like this will help make our industry more efficient, sustainable, and globally competitive, she said.
According to Statistics Indonesia (BPS), in June, Indonesia welcomed 1.42 million foreign tourists, an increase of 8.42% from May and 18.2% compared to June 2024.
In the first half of this year, Indonesia welcomed 7.05 million international visitors. The top three source countries were Malaysia (16.7%), Singapore (13%), and Australia (10.9%)./.
