- Vietnamese State President Luong Cuong on September 3 had a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing on the occasion of his attendance at the 80th anniversary of the world people's victory over fascism and working trip to China.

President Cuong said he was pleased to meet President Putin for the first time in his capacity as Vietnam’s head of state. He stressed that the Vietnamese Party, Government, and people deeply value and remain grateful for the support provided by the former Soviet Union and today’s Russia during Vietnam’s struggle for independence and reunification, as well as national construction and defence. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged Vietnamese and Cuban enterprises to join hands for practical and effective cooperation outcomes, following the agreement by Party General Secretary To Lam and Cuban First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez to deepen economic, trade, and investment cooperation.

Addressing a recent business meeting held by the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam, the co-chair of the Vietnam-Cuba Intergovernmental Committee, PM Chinh, underlined the need to expand partnership between the two nations in strategic sectors such as agriculture, solar energy, and biopharmaceuticals. - The central steering committee for the celebrations of major national holidays and important historic events for 2023–2025 has extended its heartfelt thanks to leaders, veterans, citizens, armed forces, and international friends, who made the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day a resounding success.

The activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), particularly the solemn commemoration ceremony, military parade and march at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, were celebrated as a resounding success and a true grand festival of the entire nation. Vietnamese naval ship completes mission at Kakadu Exercise 2026

Ship 016–Quang Trung of Brigade 162 under Naval Region 4 departed Sydney Harbour on the morning of March 25 for home after successfully completing activities within the framework of the Exercise Kakadu Fleet Review 2026 marking the 125th anniversary of the Royal Australian Navy and the multilateral naval exercise Kakadu 2026.
