Quan Minh Cuong assigned as Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee

In its Decision No. 2568-QDNS/TW dated November 28, 2025, the Politburo relieved Quan Minh Cuong from the position of member of the northern province of Cao Bang’s Party Committee and its Standing Board and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee before transferring the official to Quang Ninh.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – The Politburo has decided to assign Quan Minh Cuong to join the northern province of Quang Ninh’s Party Committee and its Standing Board, and hold the position of Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.

In its Decision No. 2568-QDNS/TW dated November 28, 2025, the Politburo relieved Cuong from the position of member of the northern province of Cao Bang’s Party Committee and its Standing Board and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee before transferring the official to Quang Ninh.

The Party Committee of the northern province of Quang Ninh on December 3 convened a conference to announce the Politburo’s personnel decision. Attending the event was Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission.

Addressing the ceremony, Hung asked Cuong to work closely with members of the Quang Ninh Party Committee and Standing Board to lead Quang Ninh in fulfilling and striving to surpass the remaining targets set by the 13th National Party Congress; complete the socio-economic development tasks for this year as a basis for realising the 2021–2025 five-year plan; and effectively implement the orientations of the Party Central Committee, Politburo and Secretariat in the new period.

He also urged the province to make thorough preparations for the elections of the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 tenure, and to continue improving the political system’s organisational apparatus.

In his remarks, Cuong pledged to foster a working spirit defined by transparency, responsibility and decisiveness, which is clear in discussion, resolute in implementation and accountable when results fall short.

Born in 1969 in Hung Yen province, Cuong previously held positions at the Ministry of Public Security, as Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, and as Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee of Dong Nai province./.
