Tuyen Quang (VNA) – The first Congress of Tuyen Quang province’s Party Organisation for the 2025–2030 term wrapped up on September 24 with the adoption a resolution targeting the locality to reach upper-middle income status by 2030 and high income by 2045.

The congress set 18 major goals, including raising gross regional domestic product to 170 trillion VND (6.43 billion USD), per capita GRDP to 95 million VND, and average annual growth of 10.5% during 2026–2030. State budget revenue is expected to reach 12 trillion VND, tourist arrivals 6 million, and forest coverage 62.2%. The poverty rate is projected to fall by 3–4% annually; 100% of communes and wards will have suitable cultural and sports facilities; and trained workers will make up at least 72% of the workforce, with 30% holding degrees or certificates.

The congress also agreed on five key tasks, three breakthroughs, and seven major solutions. These include building a pure and strong Party and political system; streamlining and enhancing the efficiency of the administrative apparatus; maximising potential and advantages; promoting the digital, green, and circular economy; and developing tourism into a spearhead sector. The province will also focus on training high-quality human resources, strengthening national defence and security, expanding external relations, and building a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.

The congress announced Politburo and Secretariat personnel decisions for the 2025–2030 term. Accordingly, Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, will continue to serve as Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the new term. The province’s delegation to the 14th National Party Congress will include 35 official and four alternate delegates.

In his closing remarks, Lenh affirmed that the success of the congress was a particularly significant political event, reflecting the solidarity, responsibility, and wisdom of the entire provincial Party organisation, authorities, and people of all ethnic groups. He described it as a historic milestone that demonstrates the province’s strong political determination and aspiration for rapid progress in the new development stage.

He stressed that the resolution and documents adopted at the congress represent the crystallisation of the will, aspirations, and intellect of the provincial Party organisation and people. During the 2020–2025 term, despite numerous difficulties and challenges, the province achieved important, comprehensive results across various fields, notably in streamlining the administrative apparatus, sustaining stable economic growth, improving people’s living standards, maintaining political security, and safeguarding national defence, he noted.

The official acknowledged shortcomings, citing economic growth falling short of potential, low-quality human resources and inconsistencies in state management in some areas. These are issues that the entire Party organisation, authorities, and people need to seriously review and resolutely address in the coming time, he stated.

He called on all-level Party committees, organisations, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees, and socio-political organisations to promptly and widely disseminate the congress’s outcomes, and to swiftly translate them into concrete, practical plans and action programmes so as to bring the resolution to life./.
