Venezuelan Government sends best wishes to Vietnam on August Revolution anniversary

In a press release issued by the Venezuelan Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, the Government emphasised that the date of August 19, 1945, is a historic milestone reflecting the will and determination of the Vietnamese people, demonstrating to the world their indomitable spirit and steadfast resolve to master their own destiny.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Government of Venezuela on August 19 (local time) congratulated the Party, State, and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution.

In a press release issued by the Venezuelan Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, the Government emphasised that the date of August 19, 1945, is a historic milestone reflecting the will and determination of the Vietnamese people, demonstrating to the world their indomitable spirit and steadfast resolve to master their own destiny.

It affirmed that the victory of the August Revolution not only paved the way for Vietnam’s independence but also lit the hope and became a shining example of resilience for peoples fighting for sovereignty and self-determination.

The press release particularly highlighted that despite the passage of time, the heroic legacy of the Revolutionary Autumn has contributed to creating a vibrant and prosperous Vietnam today - a nation regarded as an inspiration to the international community due to its dynamism and strong capacity for advancement.

On this occasion, the Venezuelan Government reaffirmed its desire to continue strengthening the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam, while sending its best wishes to the Party, Government, and people of Vietnam for a peaceful, prosperous future and even greater successes.

The two countries set up their diplomatic relations on December 18, 1989. They have frequently shared similar views at international forums, and jointly supported multilateralism and South-South cooperation. Notably, Venezuela has consistently expressed its support for Vietnam on international issues./.
