Hanoi (VNA) – A shipment of 22.24 tonnes of frozen durian from Vietnam has entered China through the Bac Luan II border gate, part of the Mong Cai (Vietnam) – Dongxing (China) international border gate pair.

This is the first time that Guangxi has imported frozen durian products from Vietnam since the two countries signed the protocol on exporting frozen durian to China in August 2024.

At Bac Luan II border gate, the batch of frozen durian from Vietnam was strictly tested.
The leader of Guangxi Dongxing Customs Declaration Co., Ltd., Chen Jiqing, said that this batch of frozen durian originated from Vietnam's Lam Dong. After completing customs clearance procedures, it will be transferred to domestic food processing companies. Frozen durian has a long shelf life, is easy to eat and can be used for food processing. It is very popular among Chinese consumers and food processing companies.
