- Major General Nguyen Ba Luc, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), led a VPA delegation to the 14th Indo- Pacific Armies Chief Conference (IPACC), while Major General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Institute for Defence Strategy and History, led another Vietnam’s delegation to the 49th Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar (IPAMS), all concluded in in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on September 25.
The events, along with the 11tth Senior Enlisted Leaders Forum (SELF), co-chaired by General Tan Sri Dato' Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain bin Jantan, Chief of the Malaysian Army, and General Ronald Clark, Commander of the US Army Pacific (USARPAC). Read full story
- Vietnam is taking part in the first-ever World Atomic Week (WAW), which opened on September 25 at the VDNKh Exhibition Centre in Moscow, bringing together global leaders, experts, and youth to chart the future of nuclear energy and green technologies.
The event, one of the largest of its kind, runs until September 28 and coincides with the 80th anniversary of Russia’s nuclear industry. It has drawn more than 10,000 delegates from 118 countries, nearly 250 international speakers, and over 18,000 young participants. WAW serves not only as a showcase for the latest technological achievements but also as a forum for policymakers, scientists, enterprises, and international organisations to discuss sustainable energy strategies for decades ahead. - Vietnam has reinforced its growing presence in the global food industry by being honoured as the Focus Country for the second time at World Food India 2025 (WFI 2025), a premier international event taking place from September 25–28 at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition Centre in New Delhi.
Speaking at the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Vietnam Pavilion, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Hai praised the efforts of Vietnamese enterprises in promoting their products abroad, particularly in the Indian market. He emphasised that participation in major international fairs and exhibitions not only broadens trade opportunities but also promotes the image of Vietnam and its people to Indian friends. The Ambassador expressed confidence that the stronger presence of Vietnamese businesses in India would further drive bilateral economic ties, while affirming that the Embassy and the Trade Office remain committed to supporting Vietnamese firms seeking to expand into the market. - The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO) on September 25 held a ceremony celebrating the 76th National Day of China (October 1, 1949 – 2025).
Speaking at the event, Vice President of the Vietnam–China Friendship Association's chapter in Ho Chi Minh City (VCFA HCMC) Tran Khang Chien said that in the new development phase of Ho Chi Minh City, with greater space and resources, the HUFO and the VCFA HCMC will continue to promote people-to-people diplomacy, strengthen exchanges, and further deepen the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China, bringing tangible benefits to the people of both countries. - The annual One-Commune-One-Product (OCOP) forum of the Mekong Delta, which accounts for 55% of Vietnam’s rice output, 56% of fisheries, and 32% of fruit, opened in An Giang province on the evening of September 25.
