Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) of Malaysia has announced that mandatory contributions for non-Malaysian employees will begin with wages for October 2025, corresponding to the contribution month of November 2025.
Both employers and eligible employees will be required to contribute 2% of monthly wages.
The policy applies to all non-Malaysian citizen employees in Malaysia holding a valid passport and employment pass issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia, excluding domestic servants who play roles such as maids, cooks, gardeners, cleaners, babysitters, drivers and others.
Employers who have yet to register with the EPF are required to do so, either online through the EPF website or at any EPF office nationwide. Employees are also advised to update their thumbprint records at the nearest EPF office starting January 2026 to complete their registration./.
