- Party General Secretary To Lam, together with the delegation of NA deputies of Hanoi, met with voters in 11 wards of the capital city on September 23 to inform them of the proposed agenda for the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly and listen to their opinions and recommendations.

- Efforts to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing must go beyond lifting the European Commission (EC)’s “yellow card” warning to develop a sustainable fisheries sector and protect Vietnam’s reputation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed at a meeting on September 23.
Addressing the 14th meeting of the National Steering Committee for IUU Fishing Prevention and Control, PM Chinh stated that combating IUU fishing is not merely about having the “yellow card” removed but about enforcing strict management of the fishing fleet and laying the groundwork for sustainable development. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued dispatch No.171/CD-TTg, dated September 23, calling for urgent and decisive measures by ministries, agencies, and localities to respond to super typhoon Ragasa, the ninth storm that hit the East Sea this year.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4 pm on September 23, its eye was located about 680km east of China’s Leizhou Peninsula with wind speeds reaching Level 17 on Vietnam's wind scale, and gusts exceeding that. Read full story
- Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam Tran Hai Quan attended and delivered remarks at the 15th China-ASEAN Prosecutors-General Conference in Hong Kong on September 23.

- Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on September 23 chaired an emergency hybrid meeting with the National Civil Defence Steering Committee and leaders from northern and north-central localities to coordinate preparations for super Typhoon Ragasa, currently forecast as the most powerful storm globally in 2025.
Reporting on the development of the storm, the ninth arising in the East Sea so far this year, Hoang Duc Cuong, Deputy Director of the Meteorological and Hydrological Administration under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, said Ragasa intensified into a super typhoon on September 22 near the northeast Philippines and entered the East Sea the following day's morning. With wind speeds reaching Level 17 and gusts exceeding that, Ragasa has surpassed Hurricane Erin to become the year’s strongest storm. Read full story
- Delegations of young Vietnamese and Philippine military officers engaged in a dialogue in Hanoi on September 23, part of the latter’s visit to Vietnam for an annual exchange.

Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said the IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang, held annually for a decade, has become a beacon of endurance, ambition and community spirit.
