Russian ambassador awarded friendship medal

Outgoing Russian Ambassador to Vietnam, Vadim Seraphimov, was awarded the Medal for Peace and Friendship among Nations by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisation (VUFO) on July 14.

The honour was presented for his contributions to strengtheningrelations between Russia and Vietnam, especially in people-to-peoplediplomacy, said Vu Xuan Hong, VUFO President at the ceremony.

Ambassador Seraphimov said it was an honour for him to receive theesteemed prize, saying that it is of critical importance to himpersonally since throughout his diplomatic life, he has developed aclose connection to the people in all three Indochinese countries.

The ambassador promised that he would continue to play his part inpromoting warm relations between Russia and Vietnam -a country that hehas known and worked with for more than 30 years.

During his term in Vietnam since 2005, he has actively contributed toall activities instigated by Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association inorder to strengthen and further develop the traditional friendship andstrategic partnership between Russia and Vietnam.

The award ceremony was attended by Tran Dinh Long, Vice Chairman ofVietnam-Russia Friendship Association, VUFO Vice President Ho Anh Dung,as well as representatives from the Foreign Relations Commission of theCommunist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, the Ministry of ForeignAffairs and the Russian Embassy./.

The Vietnamese and Cambodian PMs agreed to keep shoring up the foundation of political trust and maintain close defence-security ties, pledging not to let hostile forces use either country’s territory to undermine or threaten the security and interests of the other. Vietnamese Embassy in Israel urges citizens to enhance safety measures

The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel recommended that Vietnamese nationals regularly follow alerts and instructions issued by the Israeli Home Front Command; install and use the official Home Front Command warning application; and immediately move to a safe room or shelter when air raid sirens sound. They should avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from areas considered unsafe or at risk of unsafety.

ASEAN Secretary-General highlights Vietnam’s agenda-shaping role through ASEAN Future Forum

ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn described the forum as an important Vietnamese initiative aimed at advancing ASEAN diplomacy at both regional and global levels.
