Jakarta (VNA) – Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2025 has recorded impressive results in its first three days, reinforcing its status as the country’s largest trade promotion event, according to the Indonesian Ministry of Trade.

Data from the ministry showed that agreements signed during the first three days of the fair reached approximately 1.15 billion USD.

The event, held at ICE BSD City in Banten province from October 15 to 19, featured 1,619 exhibitors and attracted more than 8,000 international buyers from 130 countries. The fair aims for a total transaction value of around 16.5 billion USD.

With the theme “Discovering Indonesia’s Excellence: Trade Beyond Boundaries”, TEI 2025 serves as Indonesia’s largest B2B platform, promoting export products, enhancing trade cooperation, and expanding international markets. The organisers expect the event’s success to strengthen the global presence of “Made in Indonesia” goods.

The exhibition showcased hundreds of innovative export products across three main categories: food, beverages and agricultural products; manufactured goods; and services and lifestyle. In addition to the display area, TEI 2025 hosted business-matching sessions, trade forums, and export advisory activities to foster international cooperation and global market expansion for Indonesian businesses.

During the event, the Vietnam–Indonesia Business Forum was also held. Jenal, Sales Director in Indonesia for Vietnam’s FPT Corporation, noted that Indonesia is a highly potential market in digital healthcare transformation. FPT has collaborated with the Indonesian Ministry of Health to digitise the country’s hospital system, providing technology solutions that allow hospitals on remote islands to improve services for residents through modern digital platforms.

At TEI 2024, the total transaction value reached 22.73 billion USD, with 1,460 exhibitors, 8,042 international buyers, and more than 41,000 visitors. Key export destinations linked through the fair included India, Vietnam, the Netherlands, the Philippines, and Egypt./.
