Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – More than 300 Vietnamese and international enterprises are showcasing their latest products and technologies at the Vietnam International Electronics & Smart Appliances Expo (IEAE 2026), which opened in Ho Chi Minh City on May 28.
The exhibition, jointly organised by Chaoyu Expo, VINEXAD and several partners at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC), features over 500 booths displaying a wide range of consumer electronics, smart devices and household appliances.
According to organisers, IEAE 2026 serves as a direct business matching platform where enterprises can connect with potential partners, explore market opportunities and promote products through professionally organised trade promotion and business-to business (B2B) networking activities.
Participating companies include large-scale manufacturers with OEM and ODM capabilities that meet international export standards, offering diverse product designs and competitive prices suitable for long-term cooperation and private brand development.
The exhibition continues to strengthen its position as a specialised trade platform for Vietnam’s consumer electronics and home appliance industries. Dedicated visiting programmes for buyers have been arranged alongside B2B networking events, enabling visitors to access high-quality supply sources at an early stage.
In addition to product displays and trade connectivity activities, IEAE 2026 is hosting a series of specialised seminars and forums with the participation of industry associations, experts, enterprises and consulting firms in the fields of electronics, smart devices and digital commerce.
Mai Thuy Ngan, regional supervisor at Bach Tuong Phat Investment Trading JSC, said the strong participation of domestic and foreign enterprises demonstrates the growing attractiveness of Vietnam’s electronics and smart device market.
She noted that increasing competition is creating both pressure and opportunities for Vietnamese firms to improve product quality, services and competitiveness.
According to Ngan, Vietnamese businesses have advantages in understanding domestic consumer demand, after-sales services and the ability to quickly adapt to market changes, helping them compete not only on price but also build long-term brand trust.
Nguyen Thi Nhu Phuong, head of the Ho Chi Minh City representative office of the Vietnam Electronic Industries Association (VEIA), said Vietnam has gradually become an important electronics manufacturing hub in the Asia-Pacific region with the presence of many leading global technology corporations.
However, the current stage is no longer only about attracting investment or expanding production, but also about enabling Vietnam to participate more deeply in higher value-added segments of the global electronics supply chain./.
