SEA GAMES: Vietnamese shooting team bring home gold medal

Vietnamese shooters have defeated their Singapore and Malaysia rivals to win gold medal in the men team’s 50m pistol event at the ongoing 27th SEA Games on December 13 competition day.

Three of the Vietnameseshooters making up the victory were Nguyen Hoang Phuong (543 points),Hoang Xuan Vinh (561 points) and Tran Quoc Cuong (545 points).

All the three shooters are set to take part in the final rounds inother events with five regional rivals including Naung Yetun ( Myanmar); Gaibin, Lip Meing ( Singapore ); and Chew Eddy and Guanie Jonathan (Malaysia ).

The 27th SEA Games comprises 33 sports that award 460 golds, 460 silvers, and 637 bronze medals.

Over 6,000 athletes and officials from 11 Southeast Asian countriesparticipate in the biggest biennial tournament in the region.-VNA

One of the clearest examples is Hieu Luc, a modest fish soup eatery on Hai Ba Trung Street in Hanoi, which has been included in the Michelin Selected category for the second consecutive year. Known for its clear, delicately sweet broth made from freshwater perch and mustard greens, the restaurant serves a traditional specialty from Hung Yen province.

ASEAN city leaders explore Hanoi’s heritage sites

At the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, delegates visited the Doan Mon Gate and learnt about the formation and development of the ancient capital through different historical periods at display spaces. They also explored the Kinh Thien Palace’s Dragon Steps (large stone steps with dragon carvings), regarded as the political and ceremonial centre of the imperial citadel during successive Vietnamese dynasties.
