Vietnam wins one more medal at Youth Olympics

Vietnamese taekwondo martial artist Nguyen Quoc Cuong on August 16, the second day of competition, won a bronze medal in the 55 kg category at the Youth Olympic Games 2010 being held in Singapore.

After casting lots, Cuong directly entered the quarterfinal round andfinally won 4-3 over his Colombian rival Oscar Munnoz.

At the semifinal round, he won 2-0 and 3-2 in the first two halves butwas  then defeated 0-4 by Nursultan Mamayev from Kazakhstan , losing 5-6in the round.

Earlier, Vietnamese weight-lifter Thach Kim Tuan won a gold medal in the 56 kg category at the first day of the tournament./.
